About the 15th Annual YMCA-YWCA Women of Distinction Awards
Since 1994, the Y Women of Distinction Awards have recognized women who inspire us through their work in our community. These awards celebrate the visionaries of the past, the courageous women who change the way we live today, and the young women who shape our tomorrow.
Nominees and recipients of a Y Women of Distinction Award embody the mission of the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
This year marks a time of renewal for the Y Women of Distinction Awards. Our 15th Annual Y Women of Distinction Awards Gala will be held on June 1, 2009 at the National Arts Centre at 7:00 pm. Join us for a night at the NAC Theatre for the awards presentation followed by a Dessert Celebration.
Tickets must be purchased prior to the event (they will not be available at the door). Individual tickets are $95 each (including a $50 tax receipt).
