"On October 1st, 2021 Roslyn Franken presented the remarkable story of her parents’ lives at our Academia Hernando lifelong learning program in Spring Hill, Florida. Both of her parents were World War II survivors who, as young prisoners found the strength to survive terrible conditions; her mother was in Nazi Germany’s concentration camps, and her father was a prisoner of war in Japan. "I am a congregational vice-president of Temple Beth David of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and one of the organizers of the synagogue’s annual Yom HaShoah/Holocaust Vigil of Remembrance. At this Vigil of Remembrance an unbroken chain of congregants, representatives of various faith traditions and community members recite the names of Holocaust martyrs and of the Righteous Among The Nations and light yellow memorial candles on a continuous basis for twelve hours. "I am a congregational vice-president of Temple Beth David of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and one of the organizers of the synagogue’s annual Yom HaShoah/Holocaust Vigil of Remembrance.
